24TH JANUARY, 2018 :

A seminar on “Innovations in Teaching, Learning and Research” was conducted in our conference hall through Video conferencing with the help of Skype and Teamviewer. Dr. Muthupandi, MKU was the Resource person.

18TH JANUARY, 2018:

Pongal was celebrated in our campus with Sneha Illam inmates (Old destitutes). Mrs. Indra Basker, Yoga Mistress was the chief Guest and Mrs. Meena, Mrs. Punitavathy and Selvi. Richa Jenifer were invited as examiners for various competition conducted.

09TH JANUARY, 2018 :

XI Annual Sports Meet was held, was presided by Mr. S.V.D. Rajan, Physical Director, Retd. Head Master, Govt. HSS, presided over the function.events

23RD DECEMBER :

Christmas was celebrated. Poor students from our model schools were invited and gifted were distributed to them.

18TH – 22ND DECEMBER : CITIZENSHIP TRAINING CAMP WAS CONDUCTED. 25TH NOVEMBER : WORKSHOP ON INNOVATIVE TEACHING STRATEGY. 10TH NOVEMBER :

Fancy Fete was celebrated along with students of model schools within our campus

8TH NOVEMBER :

Tree saplings were planted in our campus by our student teachers.

27TH OCTOBER :

Abacus class was started. It was conducted by our Alumni Mrs. Jeevamalar

24TH OCTOBER :

Inauguration of Art and Literary Association. Rotarian. Haneef Tayub was the Chief Guest. Action plan was presented by Dr. Aruna Sankara Velayutham.

21ST OCTOBER :

The Education Commission of the Eastern Province had a visit to our college for inspection

6TH OCTOBER :

Elders Day was celebrated. Student Teachers visited ‘Sneha Illam’ the home for destitute old people in our campus which was organized by our Extension Service Cell.

3RD OCTOBER :

Rotaract Club was launched in our college in the presence of Rotary Club Dignitaries of Madurai West.

2ND OCTOBER :

Gandhi Jeyanthi was celebrated. Mrs. Manimegalai from Crescent School, Madurai was the Chief Guest

21ST & 22ND SEPTEMBER :

Two days State Level workshop on “Role of Puppetry in Education” was organized by IQAC of our college. Mr. Kirubakaran, Puppeteer and his team of four members were the Resource person.

19TH SEPTEMBER :

Cells and Clubs were inaugurated. Mr. Devasahayam, Human Rights Activist was the Chief Guest.

5TH SEPTEMBER :

Teachers Day was celebrated. Mr. Nedumaran our College Physical Director was awarded Best Teacher for the year.

1ST SEPTEMBER :

A rally was taken by our students at our neighbouring residential area crying slogans to Preserve and unify rivers together with ‘Wish to Help’ NGO.

22ND AUGUST :

Student Union members were installed. Mr. Devasahayam, Human Rights Officer/ Activist and Mrs. Indra Basker , Yoga Instructor were the Chief Guests.

21ST AUGUST :

Personals from MHRD visited our college for Swatchtaa (Cleanliness) ranking.

15TH AUGUST :

Independence Day was celebrated. Dr. Jothi Rajan, Associate Professor from Arul Anandar College, Karumathur.

8TH AUGUST :

Hands on training Interactive Smart Classroom was demonstrated by Mr. Praveen Mahimainathan for both teachers and student teachers.

7TH AUGUST :

Union Election For I Year Students Was Conducted.

2ND AUGUST :

Inauguration Of 2017 – 18 (I Year) Batch.

1ST AUGUST :

Biometric Attendance Installed For Students And Staff.

27TH JULY :

One day International Conference on “English Language, Literature and Education” was jointly organized by our College and ‘Roots International Journal of Multidisciplinary Researches’. Dr. Anita Devi Pillai and Dr. Mary Ellis from Nanyang Technological University were the key speakers. Mr. Pereira from Madurai Kamaraj University, Dr. K. Govindarajan from Alagappa University,Karaikudi, Dr. R.K. Jaishree Karthiga from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, Dr. M. Ananthi from Palani Andavar College, Palani were the Resource and Chair persons for paper Presentation. Valedictory address was given by Ms. R. Sridevi, Asst. Professor Mathematics, Loyola College of Education, Chennai.

22ND JULY :

One day State Level Workshop on “NextGen Teaching Aids” was conducted by our Associate Professor Dr. Aruna Shankara Velayutham. 73 members participated.

15TH JULY :

Dr. Muthupandi, Professor from Madurai Kamaraj University gave a session on SPSS statistical software application for the teaching faculty.

21ST JUNE :

World Yoga Day was Celebrated. A team from Manavala Yoga Mandram was invited to give a guest lecture and train the student teachers in Yoga.

6TH JUNE :

Mr. Antony and Ms. Sabina Sedan NGOs from Thirumangalam were invited to enlighten our student teachers on the employment opportunities available.

19TH & 20TH MAY :

Recollection day was celebrated. Mr. Karthikeyan, Mr. Kannan and Ms. Sumathi were the Resource persons. Health learning and counseling were undertaken by them on the second day.

2ND TO 27TH MAY :

Communication Skill Development classes was conducted for I year students of our college and for the public dwelling in and around Thirumangalam village. On the final day a valedictory function was held Mr. Mahimainathan Rtd. HM was the chief guest and he issued the certificates for the participants.

29TH APRIL :

Parents Teachers meeting was arranged. Views and suggestions were gathered from parents.

28TH & 29TH APRIL :

Science Association Organized Programme : i) Eradication of karuvelam Maram was undertaken around a pond with the help of Mr. Vishawanath and his team. ii) Dr. Stephen Raj , Professor, American College was the chief guest spoke to the student teachers on Prosopis Sperigera a boon or bane.

22ND ARPIL :

Annual Day Celeberation. Dr. Sarala Thambavani , Principal of Sri Meenakshi Arts and Science College was the Chief gues, Mrs. Ananthavalli, District Social Welfare Officer was the Guest of Honour. Various Cultural programmes were staged by our student teachers.

22ND, 23RD & 27TH MARCH :

Campus interview was held at our campus, Mahatham Montessori, St. Mary of Leuca, K. C Vidyala and Montfort schools participated.
