20TH MARCH : STUDENT TEACHER AND TEACHERS WERE ON AN EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO KODAIKANAL. 13TH & 14TH MARCH : GANDHIAN THOUGHT EXAMS WERE CONDUCTED.
05TH SEP 2015-TEACHERS’ DAY.

The Teachers’ Day was celebrated in a grand manner. Ms.Priya & Ms.Tharani, the student teachers compered the celebration. The gathering was welcomed by Ms.Subhamani. Dr.Sr.Amali Anbarasi, the Principal amplified the importance of the Teacher’s Profession. Our student teachers presented cultural programme. Finally, the celebration came to an end with vote of thanks said by Ms.Sripriya.

20TH OCT 2015- VISIT BY THE EDUCATION COMMISSION OF THE EASTERN PROVINCE.

The members of the Education Commission of the Eastern Province Sr.Mary Queen & Sr.Celine Joseph had come for the inspection. The management had arranged for a meeting which started with a prayer. There was a power point presentation which reflected the entire activities of the year. The education commission had a meeting with student-teachers, teaching staff and non-teaching staff and gave a brief report of their observation to the management at the end of the visit.

14TH- 18TH DEC 2015: CITIZENSHIP TRAINING CAMP.

On 14th Dec 2015, the five day C.T Camp was inaugurated by Dr.A.Muthumanickam, Registrar i/c, Madurai Kamaraj University. Eye Donation Awareness Camp was organized by Lion.Dr.J.Ganesh.M.J.F of Rotary Club, Sivakasi. On 16th Dec 2016, A session on Water Resource Management was taken by Er, M. Dhanasekarapandian, PWD, Madurai. Another session on Climatic changes was taken by Dr.R.Vijaya, M.K.U-Madurai. On 17th Dec 2015, a session on Stress & Cardiac diseases was taken by Dr.D.P.Sankar, Interventional Cardiologist, Apollo Hospital, Madurai. The campers organized everyday an awareness programme for the villagers and took on rallies to propagate their views on some of the social issues. Blood Donation Camp was organized in collaboration with DYFI. On 18th Dec 2015, the campers made a visit to the Blind School at Sundara Rajanpatti. That evening, there was an Art & Craft exhibition. The camp came was closed with Camp Fire by Rev.Fr.Jayaseelan.S.J was the Chief Guest for the occasion.

ON 15TH DEC 2015 -INSPECTION BY TAMILNADU TEACHERS EDUCATION UNIVERSITY.

An inspection for continuation of affiliation was conducted by the members of Tamilnadu Teachers Education University, Chennai. Dr.K.Rajasekaran and Dr.P.Saravanan were the Convenor and the member for the inspection respectively.

ON 23RD JAN 2016 – EDUCATIONAL TOUR.

An educational tour was organized to Tiruchirapalli. Our student teachers and staff visited all the Departments of St.Joseph’s College, Malaikottai, Mukkumbu and Kallanai.

ON 06TH FEB 2016- VISIT TO VIVEKANANDA ARTS & SCIENCE COLLEGE, THIRUVEDAGAM AND VISIT TO THE LIBRARY OF MADURAI KAMARAJ UNIVERSITY.

Our staff and student teachers went to Vivekananda Arts & Science College, Thiruvedagam, They witnessed the entire Gurukulam life style observed by the teaching faculty members and students of the college.

ON 13TH FEB 2016 – ANNIVERSARY OF THE COLLEGE OPENING DAY & INAUGURATION OF TIN JUBILEE CELEBRATION OF THE COLLEGE.

An inaugural function of the Tin Jubilee was celebrated with a high mass offered by five priests. Thereafter, there was a grand dinner to all given by the management.

ON 08TH MAR 2016- MISS. CAROLINA DAY.

‘Miss.Carolina Day’ (Womens’ Day) was celebrated in a grand scale. Dr.Karthick Pandian, Physiotheropist & Neurologist and Mr.Natarajan, Director of Gandhi Museum were the Chief Guests of the day. A lot of competitions were conducted. The winners were given prizes. Miss.Arul Varsha Rani emerged with the highest score in the first round for ‘Miss.Carolina award’.

ON 11TH & 12TH MARCH 2016 – TWO DAY NAAC SPONSORED INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR.

The seminar was conducted on “ICT in Education & Research: Innovations, Trends and Issues”. There were 110 participants who made their paper presentation. Dr.Sr. Amali Anbarasi, Principal of our college gave the inaugural address. The Presidential address was given by Rev.Dr.Basil Xavier, Principal, Arul Anandar College, Karumathur. The key note address was given by Rev.Dr.Amaladass Xavier, Principal, St.Xavier’s College, Palayamkottai. The felicitation was given by Dr.Vijayalakshmi Stephen, M.D, Vijayalakshmi Hi-Tech Solutions Ltd.

A session on Mobile/Virtual learning was taken by Rev.Dr.Amaladass Xavier. Another session on Interactive white board Demo was taken by Mr.Nicholas Jegan. In the afternoon, Dr.Valarmathi of Annamal College of Education, Tuticorin led a session on Web Technology & Online learning. On the second day, a felicitation was given by Dr.David Amirtha Rajan, Former Dean of M.K.U & Head/PG & Research Department, American College, Madurai. Dr.Muthu Pandi, Asst.Prof in Education, D.D.E., M.K.U held the session on Research in Education and in SPSS. There was a presentation through skype by Mr.Brian Harvath from United States. The valedictory address was given by Dr.Jothi Rajan, Associate Professor, Arul Anandar College, Karumathur. Finally the certificates were distributed and the guests were honoured. The seminar ended with National Anthem.

ON 29TH APR 2016-10TH COLLEGE ANNUAL DAY.

10th College Annual Day was Celebrated highlighting the occasion of Tin Jubilee in a grand manner. Dr.Abhai Kumar, Principal, Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai was the Chief Guest. Rev.Fr.Amal.S.J., Rector, Arul Anandar College, Karumathur, was the Guest of Honour. The Annual Report was presented with P.P.T by our Principal Rev.Dr.Amali Anbarasi, in an interesting manner, which covered the entire activities of 2015-2016, progress and plan for the future. The IQAC News letter and the first copy of the NAAC Sponsored International Seminar was released. Dr.Abhai Kumar, the Chief Guest addressed the gathering with his inspiring speech of his thorough knowledge and experience. And he distributed the prizes to the winners of the various competitions conducted. Three staff members who had completed 10 years of service were honoured with golden ring. Tin Jubilee Souvenir was distributed. Thus, the Annual Day ended with National Anthem.
