Age Limit
As per the TNTEU B.Ed eligibility, there is no prescribed age limit for the candidates applying for admission to the B.Ed programme.

Educational Qualification
- Candidates should have qualified their Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanity with 50% marks are eligible.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks is also eligible for admission to B.Ed Degree Programme.
- The candidates should have undergone a 10+2+3 pattern of study and passed the qualifying examination conducted by the respective State Board or CBSE or any other recognizes Board of Education/Examination and UG Degree Examination of the UGC recognized Universities in any one of the school subjects offered by the Directorate of School Education at the Secondary/Higher Secondary Education level.
- The candidates who have qualified for the three-year Diploma in Engineering will be treated as equivalent to a 10+2 course.
- Candidates who have passed the UG or PG Degree under the Open University System without a 10+2 pattern of School Education examination are not eligible for admission.
- The minimum aggregate marks required for admission to this course are OC – 50%, BC/BC(M) - 45%, MBC/DNC- 43% and SC/SC(A)/ST- 40%
